Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whānau,
A couple of messages and reminders:
You may have previously seen a Teacher Only Day advertised for tomorrow, 12 November 2021, just to confirm that due to alert level restrictions this day has been postponed. This NZEI Accord Teacher Only Day will now be held on Thursday, 16 December 2021. This means that the last day of the school year will now be Wednesday, 15 December 2021, finishing at 3.00pm.
I would also like to let the community know that our wonderful Receptionist, Sera Terrazas, will be leaving us on Friday next week. Sera’s dedication to Whenuapai School has been very much appreciated by students, families and staff. Sera has been with Whenuapai School for an amazing seven years, first as a teacher aide and then the last six years as our Receptionist. Sera will be well known to all of you and I am sure you will join us in wishing her all the very best for the future.
Claire Brain, who will also be well known to many of you, will step into the role of Receptionist from Monday, 22 November 2021.
Following Minister Hipkins’s announcement yesterday, a post was made on HERO with a Return to School Survey. We require all families to complete this survey and tell us what your intentions are for your child/children for the remainder of Term 4.

It is important for our planning that this form be completed by all families. If you have already responded then, thank you, you do not need to complete it again!
More information will be sent to families on Monday with more specific details on how the return of students will be managed onsite.
