Welcome
DEAR ALL
No new information will be placed on this site but will now be placed on our new website.
We have started the change over to our new Learning Management Website powered by Ultranet. Please click on the below link to see what we have been working on.
By the end of the term this will replace our old website. Later this year students then parents will get special logins that will open up a number of opportunities to further learning and communication to all involved.

From the Principal
With a roll by the end of the year of almost 500 pupils, Whenuapai School continues to grow in terms of the broad curriculum opportunities offered, the success at the local, Waitakere area and Auckland level and being a School that many parents wish to send their children to for a sound education. The Whenuapai School Community is an amazing support for our School and many of our parents whether on the Board of Trustees, the PTA, Lunchroom, Parent Tutors, Coaches and those who are prepared to help out provide many, many hours at no cost to the School, do so for the benefit of our pupils.
Weekly Newsletters are an essential communication tool with the community and they are supplemented by the the Board of Trustees publication Under the Radar, Team Newsletters and of course the Website. The on-going support from the Board of Trustees enables the School to achieve the high standards across all curriculum areas. I have been at Whenuapai School since 1986 (Yes, I know that it a long time!) and have watched the School grow and believe that we have a sound educational platform for meeting the needs of children under our care supported by a dedicated and hardworking staff to deliver these learning opportunities to all pupils.
The question I get asked quite often is what makes Whenuapai School so special. In short, it is the happy and positive atmosphere that permeates all we do here. The emphasis on encouragement and rewards for achievements, the 'open door' policy and visibility of the Principal and Senior Management are crucial parts of our School. Meeting and greeting the pupils, parents and even pre School children in the morning and saying goodbye in the afternoon is something I enjoy and maintain it is part of what makes us so special. Our School Motto 'Living is Striving' is what we are all about. We encourage the best and our results are evidence of this.
