Maternity Leave

While I am away on maternity leave for most of term 4, Mrs Flowers will be taking our pupils for their regular ICT sessions. Mrs Flowers is a very confident computer user and will be following plans I have left to ensure our students continue to learn and build on their ICT skills.

In Term 4 the focus for ICT right across the school is data handling. For our senior students this will involve collating and entering data and creating graphs and tables in Excel. Our junior students will be learning to use a more junior friendly data handling programme called 2Investigate. From the results and feedback we received back from the New South Wales exam in Computing this year, data handling and manipulation showed to be an area of weakness for our pupils.

 I will continue to be in contact with the School while I am on leave, still creating the weekly newsletter, coordinating with our technicians and keeping the school website up to date. I look forward to seeing you all again when I return at the end of the School Year.
