Room 5

              Oh! How we have growen

Room 5 is the newly opened new entrant class. We opened on the 16th of August this year with four students, three girls and one boy. We are now however up to eighteen students as at the 26th of October and still growing.

All the children in the class are amazing and have come to school ready to learn. We are seeing some fantastic gains in reading and in maths.

The children are really excited about our topic this term which is growth. The children were asked to identify living and non living things and then state the difference between them. I had a whole lesson planned to get to the point of growth but as usual they got there before me. They are a very bright bunch.

Today we are planting seeds and we will be watching for growth over the up coming weeks. We will be looking at the life cycle of plants as well as the life cycle of butterflies and insects.

As Christmas is coming later in the term we will be involved in creating Christmas decorations and we also have an exciting end of year trip to look forward to.
