Room 13 Learns a Language

This term we found out that there are four people in our class that speak a different language at home. At home they speak Chinese (Yong Yu), Korean (Paul), NZ Sign Language (Jasper) and Swiss German (David).

This term we are getting a taste of each language by trying to learn a bit about each one. Next term we are going to split into four groups and focus on learning one of the languages. Everyone thinks it’s a good idea and can’t wait to start.

We asked the four children who speak a different language at home what they think about us wanting to learn more about their language….

Jasper thinks it’s great, David thinks its awesome, Yong Yu thinks it’s fantabulous and Paul thinks its cool!
